Smoked a lot of the L'Anniversaire Maduros 10 years back, not sure what I was thinking....Major pepper bombs.
Enjoyed the Brazilia Piranhas for a bit, but those even became to peppery for my tastes as my palate evolved.

Wow somebody actually mentioned Moontrance here. African Cameroon. A honey-vanilla tipped that I went through a few boxes of during my " infusion only" phase when I first started. A great noobie handout cigar. Quite mild, and lightly sweet. Always have a few corona here. If the wife ever asks to try a cigar, that will be the smoke I will hand her. It's also one of the smokes she has commented positively about the aroma.
The CAO America, albeit a quality smoke, I found ho-hum and the Brizilia nice but I think I've had too many lately.
The Concert and Mx2 are more where my tastes are at now.
HaHa but that'll change next month, right .....

I usually like milder smokes, but the CAO America was quite enjoyable for me. It was full-flavored and almost chewy without being a pepper bomb. I'd really like to try the Perfecto, but I think it only comes in the gift box.

Way back before I took a cigar hiatus, I would grab Brazilias regularly. I haven't had one in easily 8 years but bought one a couple months back that's been napping in my box. Maybe I'll fire it up this weekend.

Love the MX2. Will pretend the MX3 never existed so I can minimize the sadness at never trying it. :D

I loved the LX2 and the Visions (not listed), but the visions weren't worth the price point

MX2 & LX2 are my favorites. I recently tried the Concert and really enjoyed smoking that cigar. I need to try a few more before I make up my mind about it.

LX2, Sopranos and Brazilia. La Traviata is a pretty good smoke for that $5 price range.
I really wanted to like the America more because the packaging and looks of the cigar were great, but it was just one of those cigars that didn't make much impression.

I don't have much experience with CAO but I have been enjoying the Brazilia Gol lately, they are excellent bang for your buck. Try one of those out.

I'd say most people find CAO's products to perform well, burn evenly, draw well, etc.
as far as which blends to try, I'd say try all that aren't flavored and make up your own mind on the topic. Samplers can be found pretty affordable...
CI- CAO DREAM TEAM SAMP (http://www.cigarsinternational.com/samplers/61318/cao-dream-team-sampler/)
FAMOUS "BEST OF CAO" SAMP #1 (http://www.famous-smoke.com/best+of+cao+sampler+no.+1+cigars/item+31569)
MIKE'S CAO SAMPs (http://www.mikescigars.com/brands/cao-samplers)
Maybe give them a shot and see which does best by you...

I haven't had a CAO in so long I have no idea which one I liked. I think I remember liking the Cameroon (L'anniversaire) though.

Here's a shot of the Maduro CAO Gold 10th anniversary:

These are not the same as the regular production golds. The 10th Anni's ended production in '07.

Sopranos, CX2, new Flatheads
Only memorable CAO's I've had were eXtreme and 65th Anni - both long gone.
LX2 in the Bam (PC) size wasn't too bad. And the Black VR Five Fathom size was OK back in the day, but tried one recently and it was nothing like I remember.
I avoid the brand completely now.
