Anyone have any advice for getting rid of flies? I've googled it and get mixed results. What do y'all use/do?

Smoke inside!
There shoudn't be any flies there! :D

I've used these (http://solutions.blair.com/p/flies-be-gone/47316.uts) in the past.
What you see in the pic is accurate.
You will catch a ton of flies!
Just be careful, if you can't place the trap far enough away from where you are sitting, you could wind up attracting more flies than are there now. :2

Wow that's really pretty impressive. :tu

It's clearly obvious that it works SO well, it got rid of itself as well.

I'd be curious here too. That trap looks.....subtle. They seem immune to the citronella and shockingly enough, aren't nearly as intimidated by my rolled up CI catalog as I had anticipated. How bold of them.

Get or make a mcphail trap. Fill with water 1/4 tsp sugar and 1 tbs yeast.

We use the commercial version of this from Ace Hardware. We also use fly strips. I have a 2-level pond and lots of moist soil but no flies since we went to this setup.

I use one of these. I actually look forward to flies and insects bothering me when I'm outside enjoying a cigar now. :D

You'll love it! :lr

Flies and spiders are one shot kills. We have some good sized desert roaches around here that occasionally come out at night. They usually take a few shots to completely put down, though a head shot often does it in one. Roaches are for the most part too stupid to know when they're dead.

Luckily I have a fenced in courtyard I smoke in that's fairly private - not sure what the neighbors would think if they saw it laying on the table next to my ashtray. It's just a little too big for concealed carry.

Even my wife has used it a couple of times.

Hang a Ziploc bag of water around the area you are. Flies hate it!

Don't know why or how but it has worked for me.

Bags of water do in fact work but they are no where near as fun as the bug-a-salt :tu

Can you shoot the bags with the Bug-a-salt?

It's kind of funny, but the flies (and other flying critters) in my area don't seem to like cigar smoke so things are OK by me :D
