The secodn of the 'Hawks vs Wings was as fun of hockey as I have seen in a bit.... Both teams wants to get on the board, flying....good stuff. I only saw the first bit of the 3rd, not including the first goal, but fun all the same.

My Sunday herf guy is a RW fan and was pretty pissed......

Tyler gets crosschecked to the ribs and Big Zee goes in for the kill.... wow refs were all over that one to save that little bastards life.

I tuned into a fight and a hockey game broke out.

Like i said rask SUCKS without Zee in front of him. It's as simple as that.

btw pretty sure there are more Canadians on the Bruins than on the Habs.

I don't give a crap if they are wearing red and blue they are pond scum.
You can't blame Rask two give a way in front, players not clearing the puck standing around.

Re: NHL 2013 Thread

Did you see the first 3 goals? The first two were so bad a fan could have jumped on the ice, made his way to the net...after getting a couple autographs and STILL made the saves.

This is just one reason I hate Montreal, yes they won a game last night but the way they are acting it is like they won the cup

All morning habs fans been calling sports talk radio shows acting like the fools that they are.
Even worst Montreal radio talk show host Tony Marinaro is making prank calls all over Boston the low life even called Boston Pediatric Hospital taking up valuable time and tying up phone lines.
What a pathetic bunch of yahoos :sl

I'm a Habs fan and I can't say I disagree. What I hate the most (and it illustrates the patheticity (I know it's not a word) of mtlers) is when thay start to chant the "we've got you beat" chants when the outcome of the game is far from being decided, sometimes as early as the 2nd period. :sl

Re: NHL 2013 Thread

Bruins game ALMOST ended like the 'hawks game, except for the fact the habs player DID shoot the puck out and the refs said it was deflected off a Bruin which it clearly wasn't so no penalty. Dick job.

First I've seen of this... not crazy about the way it works in the NBA...not that they would fix it or anything *cough* tim duncan draft *cough* LOL .. but anyway now someone in the middle of the pack and that doesn't desperately need help can get the top pick.

NEWARK, N.J. -- The NHL is borrowing a page from the NBA when it comes to the draft lottery.

The NHL announced Monday that all 14 teams that miss the playoffs, or the teams that hold the rights to the top 14 picks, will be eligible to win the No. 1 draft pick when the lottery is held on April 29.

Under the previous system, the five teams with the fewest points had the opportunity to win the top selection since no team could move up more than four spots.

The Wild get a chance to break the streak tonight, Pete.

If not, the Avs get 3 chances in the next 10 days, including the next 2, E.J.

It can't last forever (can it?), but it sure is fun now. I'd really like to see them go on a 16 game streak, starting the end of April. :r

Someone will break it (or will they?), might as well be the Avs...can you just wait until our third game on the 18th? :)

Watching the clip, I really thought Richards broke his collarbone or separated his shoulder.... Turns out, he skated his next shift....

It was a nasty dirty play, the kind that can put someone down for a while.

Was it stupid and un called for? yes. Does he deserve to get suspended ? sure. I dont think it was all that nasty. He could have crushed him into the boards if he wanted to. Not saying that that makes it any better. Look at Girardis hit on Ennis in ot that looked a lot worse but only garnered a 2 min penalty.

Re: NHL 2013 Thread

I was going to post from work but didn't have a chance, watching the slow motion clips it looks like Richards ragdolls as he's hit, hard to tell if it was that hard of a hit or if he was looking for the call, since he was fine the next shift it would seem as though Kaleta reputation cost him 5 games and $76k

It always is between the Wild and Hawks. Both teams playing well, both golaies playing well, should be a one goal game.

Richards is out tonight versus the Flyers, allegedly because of the hit.

My only hope is there isn't a shootout. Yeah I'd love to see a regulation win for the Wild, but we don't stand much of a chance at getting two points with Kane and his .02 MPH shootout strategy....:bh

Excited for tonight's game..... It would be extra sweet, because the guy I help coach the Little One with, is from Chicago and a big 'Hawks fan. He has been reveling in their greatness at practices and games(as he should be)....

Nothing I would enjoy more, than going to practice tomorrow night and nonchalantly asking him how the streak was going.... He is well aware of where my allegiances lie....so on the flip side, I may take a little ribbing myself....
