some really great smokes!

Re: It's a Special Occasion

I have a cabinetta that I was VERY generously given by someone here. I was going to smoke it a year ago to celebrate something that never happened and now never will. I have another occasion that will happen in the next year that I will probably celebrate with the cabinetta. If not then, in the next two years we plan on starting our family God willing and that will be as special an occasion as I'll ever have.

I have an 80's Dunhill Mojito. I am saving it for 3/27/10 when I am initiated into the Ancient Arabic Order of the Nobles of the Mystic Shrine (aka The Shriners). This is an organization I have wanted to be part of since I was a teenager. My Great Grandpa was a Shriner and the epitome of a Philanthropist.

Thank you for the contest.

I have a Tat Frank that I have been sitting on waiting for a special occasion or special event but have not have anything to special pop up the last year so it may go when the weather breaks just because I am tired of looking at it and drooling over it. I do have a LFD Culebra also waiting for when we have our first child. Figured I would nreak it up with a couple buddies and burn it PPP style.:D

Re: It's a Special Occasion

I have never had the chance to smoke a BBMF, so in the event of a promotion and the idea of having off spring, they would warrant such a cigar.

If I want to be more realistic, I think any Padron Anni. or an Opus would be great.

I have a couple of Ashton Heritage Churchills I've been holding onto for about 4 years waiting for Tampa to win another championship (in any sport).

I have a Stradivarius Robusto Major a friend gave me to smoke on my birthday as well...

The oldest cigar currently in my humidor is a RP Vintage '92. I'm not even sure when I received it but I've had it since my first humidor so it has been at least 5 years (I think).

Re: It's a Special Occasion

For special occasions I usually grab something I know tastes good and leave the untried sticks to other occasions. For the birth of my last grandson I fired up a party short cause that was the taste I was looking for.:ss

I had originally planned on picking up a few Cohiba Gran Reservas for graduation dates, but I settled for a few Forbidden X instead. When I received my AA I went to a local putting range with a friend, sparked up a forbidden X, and smacked a few balls. I still wouldn't mind picking up the Cohibas. :D

This morning for me! I applied for a promotion in early October. Boss called this morning with the good news. I was given an Opus X in an NST trade and had been saving it for this day or Christmas. In my short time enjoying this hobby, this was the best stick I've had so far, just amazing start to finish.

Re: It's a Special Occasion

This has me wondering what I should pick up for when I graduate this December. I have been in school for almost 6 years and I think I deserve something EXTRA special for when I am done. Probably grab a Cohiba SigIV, Partagas Lusitania, or a Padron 45th maddy. Although, it is getting frickin cold here now, so It may be difficult to spend that much time outside. Backwoods, maybe? :r

I will be going to a larger smoke shop in Vancouver, so maybe they will have some opus X there. Unfortunately I won't be able to make an order and pick it up across the border till after the new year. This would significantly reduce the cost of these cigars as they are probably about $65-$75 up here? I have been wanting to try them for awhile now to see what the hype is about.

San Miguel when my Fiancee and I bought our first Car.
Ghurka Gran Reserve (Can't remember, too lazy to look), gift from my Father, when I moved to Massachusetts from Michigan.
Perdomo 10th Anniversary Champagne, when I got a job after looking for 6 months.

Thinking about something from My Father, for my Wedding. Definitely going to sneak off and have a Cigar on my Wedding Day... It's required, right? :)
