Thanks for the responses guys, so no rhyme or reason, no routines, no rainman kinda way of doing it, so I will continue to go by my list in order.

About the same here. And, when I'm going thru my coolers and other mass storage units, If I see multiple sticks that strikes my taste buds, I will pull them out and move them to one of my humidors for easier access later.

I generally know which way I'm leaning when I open the humi....and idea of whether I'm looking for a huge flavour hit, or something mild and short. Then I poke around, looking for something within that range that catches my eye.

A lot of times, i'll read a thread about a cigar, or a review and
i'll find myself going to dig for that specific cigar. Its kind of funny
though. Lately i've been smoking the hell out of a box of Humo Jaguar
Corona Gorda's. I'm typically a hoarder, but thats what I find myself
grabbing, sometimes, i'll open up a humi, and just find something to
smoke, so its been interesting. I've been winning my fair share of poker
for cigars games lately so i'll tend to smoke those too!

I usually know what I am after before I open the cooler. Lately it has been siglo VI. This does create a problem, which is running out of the favored stick too quickly. I will sometimes go from the cooler to the humi if I am looking to switch it up or to make sure there is not a smoke that strikes a chord.
