I am much more a Bruins fan than a Leafs fan. The only reason I have any dilemma is the slight chance that if the Leafs win tonight and the next series, and the Islanders win theirs, would be a Tavares V. Islanders Eastern Final. That would be epic, and I'd be pulling for the Isles.

In the late game, I just don't think San Jose has the goaltending or defense to take them all the way, so I'd rather see the Knights get a shot at the Avs.

Woohoo Bruins! Not a consistent effort, but they tightened things up when they needed to. Rask needed to be great and actually was. And I love it when the fourth line is the difference in a game.

Sharks - Knights game was easily the game of the year so far.

Cody Eakin likely cost himself a contract, but what he'll feel like this summer will be even worse.

Awesome comeback by the Sharts.

That 5M major on Eakin was a joke. 2M if you call it, the tangle and fall after was just bad luck, can’t figure that into the call.

That said, Vegas giving up 4 PP goals in less that 5M was a total chitshow dump.

Sending it to OT was great, not to mention the OT, which was back and forth, teams were gassed late....I was gassed.

I agree, game of the year so far.

Agree on everything. Great game - should have never gotten to OT. 5M major was a joke. 4PP goals was an even bigger joke.

You guys are all right, looks like the secondary contact was what caused Pavelski to fall so hard and hit his head. Looking back, not a 5 MM at all. But I bet he doesn't feel very good about it today regardless.

Derrek, Karlsson looks like he's struggling at times, I don't think his injuries allow him to excel through 3 more rounds. I think while he and Burns are great offensively, they both have some pretty significant defensive liabilities, and I am not sold on Martin Jones one bit, even after he kept the Knights to 4 goals last night.

The whole thing is messed up this year. Performing well in the regular season is no measure of success for the playoffs. Beginning to agree with Don Cherry (Lord forbid) - 1 should play 8; 2 play 7, etc.

But then maybe I’m just a sore loser......

Heading to the second OT. Bobrovsky is Columbus's playoff MVP hands down. I've been on the edge of my seat during the first OT so much I almost fell off my couch. :D

As a side note, I wonder what's up with Pastrnak. He's turned the puck over so many times in the playoffs so far, along with making a bunch of half-assed, easily deflected pass attempts. He was much more crisp during the regular season.

Oh well, time to pour another whiskey and go strap myself down to the couch...go Bruins!

Yep. If anyone had any doubts about them after knocking off the #1 team, Columbus is for real. Boston's in trouble if the first line doesn't start producing. Rask's playing great...and it's being wasted.

That should've been a shutout. Rask played great. The first line showed their O faces for the first time in a while. Still too sloppy with the pick, though. But I'm happy with the win.

That was a roller-coaster third period in Boston. Chara is showing his age; the speed of Columbus is doing him in. Nice to see Pasta get a couple goals. A good win; I hope the Bruins carry some momentum with them to Columbus on Monday.
