Re: Rotisserie/Toaster Oven Coffee Roaster (Pic Heavy)

I would say yes, but it's a pleasing, sweet aroma IMO. I use a drill and heat gun to roast coffee and every time I use either of them outside of roasting, I smell the roasting process. Must be tiny...

Re: Beginner Questions (Ask Them Here!)

A couple of years ago there was something, but I have long since forgotten where/what it was. Might have even been long before CA, back before puff came around...

Re: Tatuaje: Face live review

Re: Tatuaje: Face live review

Getting hot at this point. Still tastes great and same flavor profile since the start of the second third. This cigar produces a ton of smoke and I'm really looking forward to the next three! This...

Re: Tatuaje: Face live review

Floral notes and still a bit a spice at this point. Been a very enjoyable cigar so far :)

Re: Tatuaje: Face live review

Hitting the second third the smoke is dry and powerful. Still smooth if you retrohale slowly. Getting a citrus tang on my tongue. Less pepper.

Re: Tatuaje: Face live review

First draws after lighting are full of pepper and spice. A little something sweet on the back end. Smooth profile though.

Tatuaje: Face live review

I'm going to try something a bit different and give my takes as I smoke it.

This is a beautifully made cigar that is one of a five pack I bought on release. I have 3 left.

Re: Rotisserie/Toaster Oven Coffee Roaster (Pic Heavy)

That may be the process for a very dark roast like that. All tutorials I read/watched say to pull the from heat during second crack then cool over 3 minutes. The yankeecoffee guy on YouTube says you...

Re: Corretto roaster, or how to start roasting for less than $100.00

Ted I ordered a Skerton. Going to replace the crank with a hex nut and use a drill on a slow setting to grind the beans. This should keep the center burr more centered during coarse grinding for my...

Re: Rotisserie/Toaster Oven Coffee Roaster (Pic Heavy)

Nice setup you have there. One thing though. I've read a lot about this recently and most sources say a three minute cool down is about optimal. Yours might be cooling too quickly. I'll be makng my...

Re: Corretto roaster, or how to start roasting for less than $100.00

LOL!

Thanks for the tips ted. There's a fella from up north on youtube who recommended a krups and a cruisinart and showed a nice little sharpening mod to make them even better. I may go for one...

Re: Corretto roaster, or how to start roasting for less than $100.00

k. During the week, I brew 3/4 a pot of drip in the morning and take my 20oz press to work for an afternoon cup. I really need to get my hands on a 'cheap' ($50-$75) grinder that can give me...

Re: Corretto roaster, or how to start roasting for less than $100.00

Bump, cuz I was just watching vids of different ways to home roast. A heat gun and drill (both of which I already have) attached to some type of drum was my initial choice, but this may win me over...

Re: Beginner Questions (Ask Them Here!)

That is the best way to cut Torps and Belis IME. Cut the tip off, test the draw, cut more if you need higher flow. I usually test this after lighting. Once a cigar has burned a little bit, the draw...

Re: Beginner Questions (Ask Them Here!)

Re: Beginner Questions (Ask Them Here!)

I'm with you here. But drawing delicately usually causes burn issues for me. Usually won't stay lit that way.

Re: Beginner Questions (Ask Them Here!)

What do you do when a cigar's draw is too loose? So loose that a normal puff would cause the smoke to be harsh; keeping you from enjoying the cigar...

Re: Cigar Photography

The 1.8 works wonders! I used to love my 50mm f1.8 on my old rebel XT. I've always wanted something with a good macro focus and low f stop though...

I would have an otterbox case on my iphone except, I like being able to easily get my phone in and out of my pocket. I have a minimal silicon case on my 3GS and most times go without a case at all....

Re: Beginner Questions (Ask Them Here!)

I read that same thing somewhere before. I can't remember where. Was it on cheaphumidors?

I've tried cutting a cigar with the cello on still. Didn't like the result...
