Re: The Bourbon Thread!!

Ah, yeah! Well as you stated you'll be down in Tenn so you'll have some time to pickup bottles you normally do not have on hand.

There's a ****-ton of them! One I just really enjoy for about $23 is the Four Roses Small Batch. Love the stuff.

Re: The Bourbon Thread!!

I just don't see the problem. :D

Me personally, I bought a bottle, drank it, and walk past it now. This applies to the new Early Times release as well.

Re: The Bourbon Thread!!

Ha, doesn't look like a bad problemat all. The only issue I had with my Willett was that it was a 1.75l and it just didn't last as long as I'd hoped. Hope you enjoy yours.

Yep, you can't...

Re: The Bourbon Thread!!

What say you two? It comes in a nice looking package but the juice stands up to the image on my taste buds.

Have you had Weller Special Reserve or 4 Roses Small Batch? Both are pretty darn...

Re: The Bourbon Thread!!

I like those glasses that came in the Woodford giftset. I picked up a couple different sets myself just because I wanted the glasses; didn't get the Woodford though.

The Willett I've had has been...

Re: The Bourbon Thread!!

Showoff! :D I made a run to Party Source the other day just for some VW12. I picked up others as well, but those were just collateral damage. I just needed another one of those bottles to hang onto...

Re: The Bourbon Thread!!

Your best bet unfortunately might be a good bourbon/whiskey bar. I cracked open mine last night for the game and it's just freakin' wonderful.

And the best thing about bourbon is you can find...

Re: The Bourbon Thread!!

My wife picked up the liter for me for my birthday and this is one fine bourbon. I had to run out and grab some cheaper favorites to keep me off that bottle. Definitely good juice.

Re: The Bourbon Thread!!

Nice! A very good pour.

The wife pays attention to me apparently, she handed me a bottle of VWFR 12yr. She said she didn't love me enough for the 23yr. :-(

I was hoping for a gift set of...

Re: The Bourbon Thread!!

BT is good bourbon. I actually wasn't too fond of my 1st bottle and the next one settled in very well. If you're not used to bourbon then the rye content might be a tad much.

Re: The Bourbon Thread!!

It's been one of my favorites for some time, though 4 Roses Small Batch is in the same price range and is simply finger lickin' good. I really feel it has taken over being my favorite as a very damn...

Re: The Bourbon Thread!!

I've grown to like this, mostly the 6yr, and plan to pickup the BIB. Definitely not great, but I you stated drinkable and cheap.

I haven't had the AAA 10yr but look to grab one soon.

I tell...

Re: The Bourbon Thread!!

The 100; bonded. I've had the 80 and I liked it. A bit lighter then I usually prefer, but it was good. Probably a good starter for someone newer to spirits with the lower proof. With the 100 I let it...

Re: The Bourbon Thread!!

At lunch a picked up a bottle of Rittenhouse Rye BIB. I've had the 80 which was good, so I'm expecting a song and dance from higher proof.

Re: The Bourbon Thread!!

Picked up a Pappy 12yr and just waiting to pop it open. I probably should have grabbed another bottle or two, though. The early release in Ky is nice. :D

Re: The Bourbon Thread!!

Jeffersons is very good. More consistant than most I've had. BBC made a Pappy bourbon barrel that about knocked me out of the chair. Very good and without a doubt strong.

If you're into...
