Re: Christmas/Holiday smokes

I always have a Short Story Maduro or two around the holidays. It is a nice treat and the smoking time ends up being about exactly how much time I have to escape for a cigar :D

Re: And the #1 cigar of the year is......

I have not smoked a lot of these, but the first one I tried really blew my mind. Was the best cc I'd ever had at that point. Then I tried another one a few months later, from a different stock pile...

Re: Aging Room

I have been enjoying their stuff. The Maduro is a great smoke and has been a regular in my rotation lately. I also recently tried the Quattro F55 and thought it was great too. I want to try more of...

Re: Ghurka #9 ???

It must have been shipped to them with $100 bills used for the packing material.

Re: Flavours CAO

I have only tried one CAO Flavours and didn't enjoy the flavor at all... but I didn't notice any issues with the draw. You may have just gotten a bad one, or it may be over humidified.

Re: Ant hill art

That's really cool! I didn't expect the mold accurately capture all the tunnels in the colony like it did.

Re: Strongest cigar you've ever smoked?

I agree with several others here... the one that really sticks out for me is the Joya de Nicaragua Antano Dark Corojo. I had this early on in my cigar smoking days and it really kicked my butt. I...

Re: Moscow Mule

There is a local brewery that makes an alcoholic ginger beer and I like to make Moscow Mules with it. It has a great taste and makes the drink a little less sweet compared to the non-alcoholic ginger...

Re: Bid Site Strategies

:tpd:

I always compare to other online retailers and have a price in mind before I bid on something.

Re: Oliva Viejo Mundo

My understanding is that the curing process of the tobacco makes humidification unnecessary when storing the cigars. So they can be stored anywhere.

Re: I Need A Little Help With A Handgun I'm Looking At.

That's a good point. It's going to be hard to know how you feel with it unless you go shoot it. One idea is to go into the store and see if they will let you draw it a few times and see how it feels....

Re: I Need A Little Help With A Handgun I'm Looking At.

380's don't kick much at all so I would not be too worried about not being able use your pinky finger to grip it. If you go with the mag extender then you won't have this problem as others have said....

Re: La Perla Habana

I have tried a couple of the La Perla Habana “Black Pearl” and did find them to be a peppery and spicy smoke, but not overpowering. The Black Pearl has a maduro wrapper that balances out the cigar...

Re: Maduro / Oscuro whores sing out...

No more Maduros would pretty much mean the end of civilization for me, but I also enjoy corojo and habano wrappers. I think the El Centurion has a sun grown wrapper and I really like that one.

Re: Show your latest NC purchase III!

Leaf Sampler. This is a new line of cigars from The Leaf and Bean Company. Need to let them sit for a bit, but I'm excited to try them.
