Unless you live in the Sunset your average Rh is much lower than 75%. Many of us live all around the Bay Area and have no problems with high humidity. I suspect you have issues other than Relative...

I am sure it was said somewhere in this thread, but much of the burn comes from the prigin of you cigar. Cuban and Dominicans will less harsh on your nose than Nicaraguan or Honduran.

There is a "Sticky" on Humidor seasoning in the accessories section. A fully seasoned humidor should be able to maintain a steady Rh for 24hours with no added humidification. :2

To clarify, if that is the only hygrometer you are using you might as well check the humidity on the internet. Completely worthless and a source for leakage. Seal around the hygrometer with odorless...
