Re: Smoke eater candle
I've used the ones CI carries and haven't noticed much difference in the garage. My wife's Scentsy stuff works better.

Re: Homebrewers - Whats in the fermeter?
My vanilla bourbon stout got bottled on Friday. It tasted great with just a little hint of vanilla. I'm hoping the bourbon I added at bottling with bring out a little more of that as it conditions....

Re: Alec Bradley sticks
I like the Tempus and the Prensado. Not a fan of the others. I haven't noticed bad draws from Prensado,

Re: What beers are you enjoying II?
I started the weekend Friday night by cracking open my growler of Pliny the Elder. My wife picked up some Sierra Ruthless Rye on her way home so I had one of those as well, tasted great, I like the...

Re: Kicking the infused habit except Kuba Kubas
I never really minded when my wife smoked her infused stuff. I actually really enjoy what some of them smell like, I just can't stand the taste. It didn't really interfere with whatever I happened...

Re: What beers are you enjoying II?
Had the Hopslam last night. It's got a good flavor and a great bitter hop aroma, but I prefer Pliny (which is actually what I traded for it), which is a good thing since RR is marginally easier to...

Re: What beers are you enjoying II?
I've got a Hopslam I traded for on another forum waiting for me at home today. Can't wait to give it a try, we can't get those over here on the left coast.

Re: Homebrewers - Whats in the fermeter?
A fermenter should never be completely air-tight or it's just a bomb waiting to go off. That's why we use airlocks, which allow the Co2 to escape, but don't allow oxygen to get in. The sweetness...

Re: The Word Puro w/Poll
Yep, I love Drew Estate and the LP series, but I have to disagree with Johnathan's usage of the word. Puro should mean that all the tobaccos are from the same country of origin.

Re: Best short list of beers...
Right this moment in no particular order:
DFH 90 Minute
Deschutes Abyss (year doesn't matter, I honestly haven't noticed any difference)
Alaskan Smoked Porter (only smoked beer that doesn't...

Re: Reasons why Star Wars sucks.
The Doctor would kick a Sith Lord's ass with a sonic screwdriver and a flippant attitude. And I'm probably a bigger Star Wars geek than I am a Doctor geek.

Re: Homebrewers - Whats in the fermeter?
Happened on a store selling Simcoe pellets while we were out of town so I grabbed half a pound of them. Planning out a Pliny clone and another high test hoppy IPA to use my bounty.
Today I'll...

Re: What beers are you enjoying II?
A couple years ago they would fill growlers of it, but they would also run out of Younger in almost no time at all. As far as filling it out of your glasses, I'm pretty sure you'd have to do that...

Re: What beers are you enjoying II?
This past weekend my wife surprised me with a trip to Santa Rosa for my birthday (long, long car ride from us) to visit Russian River and have Pliny the Younger. It was amazing. I'm a big fan of...

Re: Plume or mold?!?
Glad they're getting it cleared up, but I'm really disappointed that FSS jumps immediately to the "not mold, plume" defense even after being provided with photos that leave zero doubt it's mold. ...

Re: Homebrewers - Whats in the fermeter?
Sometime this week I'll be racking my stout into secondary on top of some vanilla beans that have been soaking in a little bourbon for a couple weeks. Smells awesome, can't wait to see how this one...
