Re: Lotus 25 Dual Flame Lighter Review Video

I'm a sucker for dual flames...can anyone comment on the reliability of this lighter and/or Lotus in general?

Re: Sancho Panza draw issues

I've had recent troubles with the extra fuerte ROTT at around ~70%RH. I've got a few in my humidor at ~65% hoping it will change things, but if your experience holds, it might not...

It's a...

Re: What cigar recently surprised you?

Punch (NC) Gran Puro. I didn't know what to expect from a Honduran puro, but this really impressed me. It had a deep core flavor of soil/earth that I loved. Draw was unfortunately tight though. ...

Re: Who says cigars are 100% tobacco?

If this stuff freaks you out...I hope you guys don't eat vegetables. Next time you're at the grocery store, ask someone in the produce department to tell you about the weirdest stuff they've seen in...

Re: Budget cigars.

I like the flavors on the regular fuente curlyhead (not deluxe) a little more, but they're all great smokes for the money. Padron's londres can be had for <$3/stick, and I believe they have the same...

I'd bet that for every one box sold, two more are produced.

Re: Carlos Torano Exodus 1959 robusto

I've got a couple 1959's coming in a sampler. I loved the virtuoso, but now I'm a little worried. I'll have to come back and compare after I smoke one.

Re: Cigar Breath - Smart Mouth mouthwash eliminate

Crap. I thought the alcohol->cancer idea was just hysteria. I'm starting to have doubts: http://www.dailytelegraph.com.au/news/nsw-act/mouthwash-linked-to-cancer/story-e6freuzi-1111118530255

Re: Opening hcm beads?

I've been using a bag for a few weeks now...65%RH with no change. I just figured it was some sort of black magic. I guess your explanation makes more sense.

Re: Can You Smell It!!!

Hey waxy, since you build humidors, is there a particular subspecies of spanish cedar your prefer? I can't tell which species those boards are. Or maybe it doesn't matter. Just thinking out loud :)

Re: black cat cigars and DPG

Pepin is a business man. I doubt he simply refused to continue to roll house-brand smokes. I'm guessing that he refused to roll them at a previous, lower price. The guy has made a name for himself...

Re: Anyone ever filed a grade grievance for a college course?

At a minimum, you're going to need a good explanation for this. If you ignored the grades during the quarter and only bring the issue up when the final grade is delivered, you lose sincerity. Make...

Re: To rid an offensive odor?

Some plain, hot water would help get rid of the vinegar residue (assuming you don't have some crazy cooler with wood interior or anything absorbent.) Vinegar dissolves in water, but it might take a...

Re: a blind taste test - CAO Criollo Bomba

I've been impressed with CAO's reliable construction. I haven't tried the Criollo yet, but now it's on my to-buy list. Thanks for the review!

Re: Sausage Biscuit Skillet (as served at Boma-Animal Kingdom Lodge)

This sounds great, but I have a slight concern about the potatoes. I'd call medium dice around a half inch...but I don't think you'll leave the potatoes enough time to cook? I'd estimate twice...

Re: Kristoff Maduro

I've been looking at these sticks, but others have complained about draw problems with Kristoffs in general. Given the enthusiasm here, maybe that's not the case with the maduro?

Re: To rid an offensive odor?

I once had to deodorize a guitar case from China where the glue almost made me sick. Let me add a couple ideas: sunlight, newspapers, and if nothing else, a solvent that will evaporate.
