Re: What are you listening to?

I'm really only familiar with the first two, but I'm going through all of them. It is definitely calming to listen to.

Re: Sports Cars, Muscle Cars and Customs!

Whoa, that is a good find. I'll be keeping an eye on that, but I seriously doubt they'll run the auction in May.

On my budget, "beautiful" will probably turn into "doable" lol.

Re: Sports Cars, Muscle Cars and Customs!

I hope so. I remember my Dad's 84 Fleetwood with the floaty ride and super comfy seats, so I have a soft spot for older American cars like that. I don't want car payments anymore, so it should be...

Re: Sports Cars, Muscle Cars and Customs!

Looks like I'm getting ready to sell our Volvo. We've really enjoyed it but it's time to move on. We'll miss that V8 sound coming out of a rather vanilla looking Volvo lol. I'm on the hunt for a...

Re: Curtailing travel?

Whoops, looks like my travel plans are changing after all. Moto GP race in Austin is postponed til November due to corona virus. I was going to go in April, but I guess not. Might do NASCAR in...

Re: Curtailing travel?

No changes here. I'm planning on traveling a bit this spring and summer and don't plan on changing anything.....besides, I've already had West Nile and swine flu, may as well get this one too lol.

Re: The Bourbon Thread!!

I had that Stagg Jr a couple days ago....good stuff. I'll keep you guys in the loop if I can get my hands on any extra bottles. They'll be releasing them just a bottle or two at a time from what I...

Re: The Bourbon Thread!!

Just picked up another store/barrel pick of EC Small Batch. This one is called "The 9 minute late 9 year old" as opposed to the 10 yr store pick I got before. They let me sample them side by side...

Re: The Bourbon Thread!!

I'm gonna have to try out the OF 1920.

How about Bulleit Bourbon and the Jefferson Bourbons? I also haven't tried any 4 Roses yet either.

Listening to A Day to Remember right now. I really like the band, but that last album, not so much.

Re: The Bourbon Thread!!

Well, first impressions aren't that great. Too oaky and smokey for my liking. A drop of water calmed the alcohol bloom down and let the flavors come out more. I'm mixed on it though. On one hand,...

Re: The Bourbon Thread!!

I just picked up a bottle of Rowan's Creek today. I've seen very mixed reviews and looks to be a sourced whiskey, but I like to sample and $40 doesn't break the bank. We used to live on a Rowan...

Re: The Bourbon Thread!!

Hmmm....I'm not very good at describing and picking out notes yet. Initial aroma is brown sugar/maple syrup with an undertone I can't quite make out. This is going to sound really strange, but it...

Re: Sports Cars, Muscle Cars and Customs!

I'm not a fan of any of the new BMW's at all. All the maint costs seem to be crazy. I'd have no problems buying a few older models though. The e85/86 Z4 3.0si or Z4M, E39 540i and M5, and any of...

Re: The Bourbon Thread!!

Scored my first bottle of Buffalo Trace tonight. $30 with my LEO discount after tax....seemed reasonable to me.

Re: The Bourbon Thread!!

I went back and looked and the shipping policies are really weird. Cheap prices on a hard to find bourbon, weird shipping policies.....think I'll pass.
