Re: Toasting the foot: is it really necessary?
Same here, it's more ritual to me than anything else. I was at an even last night and the shop owner offered to light my smoke for me. He shoved the big table torch about an inch from my face and I...

Re: What cigar did you smoke today VI?
How was the Don Carlos? I had one a few months ago that had about 5 years of age on it and it was absolutely fantastic. Wondering how one that extensively aged held up.

Re: Uneven Burn Question
I tend to rotate my cigars while I smoke them so the same side is rarely up the whole time. However, some sticks still just burn uneven due to a variety of reasons. When that happens it's just a...

Re: Lancero Vitola
I'll second everything Todd wrote here but add that lanceros are becoming a harder size to find with today's trend towards large ring gauge smokes. I'd smoked a bunch of Oliva V's prior to trying it...

Re: Heartfelt beads
I've got the 1lbs mesh bag as well and it works perfectly for my set up. It sits in the middle of the cooler with boxes stacked on either side. Holds Rock solid 65%. It's all gonna depends on how...

Re: What cigar did you smoke today VI?
Up early and smoked an Aging Room M356. Blech. Started out very smooth and creamy but after the first 1/3 developed a very musty, stale ashtray flavor that only got stronger the farther it burned...

Re: NOOB Review: God of Fire - Carlito 2010
Nice to see another garage smoker, lol. Nice review brother, glad you enjoyed the stick.
Sad but true story here: I won one of these off of c-bid years ago (tubo one) and let it sit and sit in...

Re: Suggestions
/\ What Larry said. Most of the higher end, hard to find Fuentes, Padrons and Ashtons work quite well as "special occasion" smokes. It really all depends on your budget.

Re: What beers are you enjoying II?
Spot on. I'm good for one drink of pumpkin beer a year then it's just too much. Gonna stop by the store on the way home today and grab a few bottles of stouts. Left hand milk stout sounds pretty...

Re: Whats your favorite pairing?
I find that a good ginger ale pairs well with most cigars. It seems to have a palate cleansing effect which is nice with fuller bodied sticks. Kinda refreshes the flavors. Rootbeers pair very well...

Re: Plugged cigars
I was thinking the same thing. Most of the sticks I get from CI/C-Bid come in way too wet for me to smoke ROTT. I'm actually yet to have a plugged smoke this year (knock on wood) but I'm sure it'll...

Re: What cigar did you smoke today VI?
Punch Rare Corojo in Elites size. Perfect construction and burn and very distinct flavor transitions. I'm quickly becoming a big Punch fan, especially the price!

Nice review! I've got one of these in the cooler now. It may not survive the week after reading this. How does it compare to the Flor de las Antillas?
