Re: Tupperdor Question
I have a plastic hermetic/bail jar that I use for overflow and as a "Moochador" for BBQs and stuff. It works great. When I have cigars in it I drop a HCM 2 ounce soft bead stick in there. I like the...

Re: Todays Box grab
That's pretty cool looking. With all the different logos on there I am curious about what it was originally used for, or if it's just a humidor with a bunch of logos.

Re: Esteli
Generally speaking - if you live in the U.S. it's better to buy cigars in the U.S. than it is buy them abroad.

Re: Vanilla Aromatic?
Another good vanilla aromatic that I have recently tried is Longbottom Leaf from the Middle Earth Pipeweed Series. The only downside is that it's only sold by "Just For Him" but I decided to try some...

Re: Moving to beads - Advice needed
For the same reasons mentioned by Big_Jaygee and Kelmac07 I use HCM Beads and have been very happy with them. I don't foresee myself using anything else for humidification unless I build a walk-in...

Re: Kudos to G. Loomis
Thanks for sharing and sorry to hear about the loss of your old rod. It's great the G.Loomis offers that program. I also think it's pretty cool that you got 21 years of service out of your old rod -...

Just thought I would share this because I think it is good perspective on the whole thing. This was posted by Steve Saka on his facebook page.

Re: Garage Sale Humidor Find
I will fill it up soon enough so don't worry about that part :) Plenty of cigars in my cooler that will be fun to display.
I got all the edges of the glass all caulked up, along with the front...

Garage Sale Humidor Find
Found this at a garage sale over the weekend and was able to pick it up for $20. I looked around the webs and I think this humidor sells for about $90 from CI.
I picked up some food safe clear...

Re: Question abou lounges!
If it's a cigar retailer (B&M) with a smoking lounge then I always try to buy something there. I think it's ok to smoke a cigar you brought from home, but you should buy a cigar from the shop too. I...

Re: Illusione rothchildes
These are good! My local B&M finally started to carry these too so I'm very happy about that. You can find them online - you just need to keep an eye out for them. Small Batch Cigar sells them in ten...

Re: Padron 2000 Natural
Padron has never let me down. I like the maduros better than the naturals, but that's a personal preference. Buy the box!

Re: Local Shop Humidity/Temp
I think most walk in humidor units are designed to put out moisture but not take moisture out of the air. To have a well maintained humidor you need a way to increase and decrease the RH when needed....

Re: Kentucky Fired Cured
I have tried one and it was not my thing. If I want smoked tobacco I will turn to my pipe and a Latakia blend. They are solid cigars, but found the smoke flavor to get overwhelming after a while.
