Re: Dark Lord Day 2011

Can't wait! Hoping the beer I just brewed can compete with DL next year after it has time to age :) . If it ferments well it should be about 16% abv. I can't wait for that either.

Re: The Guinness is Better in Ireland...

They don't pasteurize the Guinness in Ireland do they? I've been under the impression they pasteurize Guinness for export. If this is the case, that is a big factor, as is the age of the beer.

Re: What cigar did you smoke today III?

Ahh finally getting warm enough to smoke again. Had an old Edge Maduro. Still pretty nice for the price. Off work, rainy day, beer and a cigar on the porch. I love it. Can't wait to break out some of...

Finally, a warm brewday. Brewing my Witbier while drinking my IPA and smoking an Alec Bradley Maxx Connecticut.

Re: What cigar did you smoke today III?

Finally had another cigar last night, CAO Brazilia. So that make 2 in the past like 4 months since it's been too cold to really relax and enjoy them (I hate the cold and wearing 100 layers to be...

Re: Dark Lord Day 2011

Can't wait! Went last year. It was nuts. Of course halfway through they changed it from 4 to 3 bottles per ticket - bs. Tickets have gone on sale St Patricks Day past 2 years at least, March 17th. I...

Re: Cool site/idea

Hah it's all good. Mis-communication of sort I guess, with posting at the same time. The BA thing is more of an annoyance, and I tend to rant about things that annoy me if they come up, especially...

Re: Cool site/idea

Well your post was made right after mine, implying it was a response to mine with the way it was worded, so I replied back. Yes I know people have different tastes and opinions, and I threw mine out...

Re: Cool site/idea

So is Dreadnaught. I've had both. Elder didn't live up to the hype. Very good, but overhyped IMO. I'd take a Dreadnaught over Elder any day.

BA and RB ratings I take with a pile of salt. Soo many...

Re: 1/1/11 How did you start your day

Started off last night with some nice beers (Infinium, 09 Bourbon County, etc) and a La Gloria Cubana Habana. Slept in today with the lady, and are now trying to find a place to eat. Everything seems...

Re: The Bourbon Thread!!

Having a Weller 12yr pour right now. Weller is so underrated. 12yr, 90prf (wish it was 100), very nice bourbon, for $22 a 750 where I got it. Can't beat it.

The best bourbon I've had to date,...

Re: New Years cigar?

La Gloria Cubana Habana. Not sure on anything else about it, it was sent to me and smells very nice though. I plan to crack open a Weihenstephaner/Sam Adams Infinium and that smells like it will pair...

Re: What beers are you enjoying?

I heard. It's probably the best hobby I've found. It's enjoyable, and saves money, compared to every other hobby. I know there are some other homebrewers here, but feel free to ask any questions. I'd...

Re: Thanksgiving Traditions

Not much. Typically a HUGE dinner with the my large family. Sooo many things to eat. A new tradition is me bringing kegs of my homebrewed beer.

Re: The Bourbon Thread!!

That's pretty much how much it is here. It's weird how certain bottles of bourbon are cheaper outside of KY, like the BTAC.

I've only had the 15 and it is fantastic. Hard as hell to get here,...
