Pretty big difference between the 5.56 and .308. The .308 will require an AR10 lower. The nice thing about the 5.56 lower is that it's less expensive and there are a lot more upper options. YMMV

Sometimes toward the last third of a smoke I start tasting what I can only describe as a "burning plastic" or "acrid" taste. Is this the "ammonia" I see talked about? Does it mean I'm smoking too...
