Miss You Daddy

This pic of my granddaughter made me think of her father who at the time was in Afghanistan. So I put a few words to it and sent to him and her.
Might be a little corny posting it here but thought someone might like it.

Miss You Daddy

When I am here I think of dad.
And remember the good times we've had.

I sit here and wonder if he thinks of me
Sometimes I cry 'till I can't see.

Will he write to say, "I love you dear
and I cant' wait to hold you near?"

I miss his voice and his loving smile.
He's been away for quite a while.

His bravery and honor while at war
is what I cherrish and love, even adore.

While he's gone I pray to God above,
Keep daddy safe, and send your love.

Daddy, if you can hear me I want you to know,
I miss you THIS MUCH and love you so.
