I just got my cherry popped....

I just smoked my first CC. '08 Cohiba Edicion Limitada....Churchill-ish sized. So I guess I get the hype now. There is SOMETHING there, I don't know what it is, but holy $h1t it was deeeeeeelicious. This was gifted to me by a friend here, and he also sent me home with a Trinidad to try later. Not sure of the year, rather Lonsdale like in size. A great gift, but I think I'm angry with him now!! Just when you think you've gotten the slipping and sliding down the slope thing under control, some "BOTL" knocks your feet out from under you.

Man, I remember mine. It was a Monte #2. I was in Heaven. Then I got a hold of a Partagas. Geez it was even better! Got a couple Special Cohibas, but wifey says we can't touch them until the house issue is resolved, so they rest.

Drives me bonkers when I see all the CC threads around here!

I was also gifted one of said Cigars, a 2008 Edicion Limitada Esplendido. I was leery, but smoked it anyway. It was good, and there was "something" there as Dan put it. We both have respect for the guy who gifted us the smokes, but neither of us know enough about this other side of the slope. The fact that I been drinking beer for most of the day didn't help at all either I'm sure. Lessons learned I guess, and we move on from here. Thanks for helping to get us back on the right path.
