| Feeling at Home | New Brewer?

I'm just starting to get into grinding beans and trying new coffees. I have a keurig now, but I am starting to look for a new small regular coffee brewer, maybe 4 cup max. Anyone have any suggestions on a decent one. |

These are cool: http://www.cigarasylum.com/vb/showthread.php?t=58370 Or just get a french press, it is the cheapest way to make a good cup.

All I want for christmas is a Brazen Coffee maker. These look really neat. I could do away with my hot water kettle and still have this for that job. |

Funny you bring this up. My Keurig machine continually has problems, so I have stopped using it. My trusty Mr. Coffee brewer just went on the fritz. Two machines, no coffee. So, I am in the market. Not sure what I am going to get. I may just go back with a Mr. Coffee. It has lasted about 8 years. $45. The idea of a Brazen machine is cool. Just not sure its worth the money.

Brazen looks very cool but too much $$ for me. I love my French Press. I also do not have any counter space or cupboard space to store a larger brewer.

I know its nothing special... But I love my Black & Decker Programmable... Never had any problems with it for the last 4 years... and even if I did it could be easily replaced... 15 Dollars... Walmart... |

I am a coffee snob. I roast my own coffee and own my own grinder, and the water has to be just the right temprature. This is why I like the Brazen. If you just want a cup of Caffene and dont care about the taste than Black and Decker will do just fine.

I like a gourmet cup every now and again... but more often then not if I am drinking coffee its not for enjoyment... its for a hang over... or a 12 hour shift... or for when I gotta do things I generally don't enjoy doing... LoL I am glad there are people that do take their coffee seriously out there... one of my more experienced friends introduced me to Cuban coffee... Like crack in a cup... | |
