V-E Day WW II Planes Flyover in DC

I was able to view the flyover of the WW II aircraft from the roof of the building I work at in DC. I took my camera to work and the flight path was directly over us.

Very nice! My father was one of the wreath layers at the WWII Memorial. A truly special event! He is in the center of the photo with his cane in front of him.

Dad presented the wreath with the DCM of Kazakhstan, but spent a lot of time talking with the Ambassador from Kyrgyzstan. His fluency in those languages is poor, but happily their Russian is excellent!

Great pictures, I kind of wish we did more though. Was Obama there, I know Kerry was in Paris or something, just wondering who was there representing the government.
