I don't like it, because eventually the law is going to be amended to increase the tax on pipe tobacco, and we will have to pay more for our baccy.

My two cents: I get a chuckle when a ridiculous 2,000 % tax increase takes a poke in the eye with a sharp stick. But long term? Well, they'll just raise taxes on pipe tobacco eventually. The buggers.

Stupid idea. Someone in Washington is going to get wind of this and pipe tobacco is going to see a similar increase.

In that case they could always roll the "pipe" tobacco up in a giant, white, manufactured piece of paper with a filter and call it a "specialty" or "gag" cigarette. Then they could apply the lower manufactured cigarette taxes.

Actually, it's in here... It's called "CAP & TAX", the bill is in Congress now, it's designed to tax producers of "greenhouse" gasses. BTW, CO2 is considered a greenhouse gas... and YOU produce it every time you exhale!

I don't know about you guys but most kids I know are most certainly tobacco free so I think we should laud Mr. Myers for a job well done and he can then find a new campaign to work on. Idjit.

This has been going on since just before schip. Took them awhile to catch on.

Don't worry piper's. Eventually the tax will go up too real pipe baccy, too. It's just a matter of time. But not because of this.
