Anyone Else Notice People Going Coconuts?

I am starting to see ads everywhere for coconut water. I tried some the other day and was not that impressed. Maybe there are good health benefits though? It seems as if this came out of no where as I had never heard of it until a few months ago and now there are ads everywhere. I just saw one on the homepage of my email and a billboard went up on the toll way.

What are your thoughts? Anyone tried the different brands and can say if they differ in taste? The one I had was a light blue packaging in a small screw cap bottle. I forget the name at the moment.

Ah, I found it. It was Zico.

I know straight from the coconut it's supposed to be some of the healthiest stuff on earth, refined and bottled not so sure.

I believe this was bought at Tom Thumb. But most any grocery store should have them I believe.

Been drinking coconut juice for years...not for the health reasons, but because I love the taste.

Hangover helper. You're insane if you are paying the zico/major grocer price though. Find an ethnic (honestly don't know which one your shooting for, my wife brings it home) market that has coconut water it will be much cheaper.

I don't dislike coconut flavors however I have never tried coconut water.
It is funny you made this thread, I did just see a chef on t.v. using this as an ingredient and I thought to myself thats kinda odd.
