I gotta tell you all, this recipe was da bomb. Even my wife, who likes ZERO heat, was eating the leftovers because "the flavors are wonderful" To all who try this recipe, please post here your variations, results, and how you enjoyed it. I know I will be making this one again.

The only pics I can provide now would look similar to something on canvas.

I'm not sure where I can get the 2 tablespoons of rum without risk of drinking it till I use it again or until I use it, But I sure may try this recipe. Thanks Peter

Recipe looks good Peter I'll have to give this a try someday. Probably kick out the capers as well. This " 2 cups frozen artichoke hearts, thawed, or cooked green beans, fresh or frozen, thawed" is going out for sure too. Other than that looks It's optional, just pass on it if that were a concern. No recipe or food is worth the what 10 year commitment you've made it through?

My deviation was borne from necessity more than a desire. I didn't have any straight diced tomatoes on hand, but had plenty of diced tomatoes with green chilies. I used that, added a hint of heat to the dish. I also left out the rum, as I didn't have any. Very tasty and I'll definitely make it again. Thanks for sharing! |
