Brugal Rum 12 years siglo del oro

Hello all,

I am back from Dominican Republic and bought a bottle of Brugal rum 12 Years old apparently the best they have

(I know nothing about rum

). I did not tasted it yet

. Is this a good rum? I am new to cigars also. Any recommendation of cigars to go with it?

Is 50$ Us for this bottle was expensive? (I am from Canada... )

Not familiar with that rum. I've seen the lower end version in local stores, but not that one. Check over at www.ministryofrum.com, they've got a fairly active cigar pairing subforum, someone ought to be able to help you there if not here.
