Looks like a custom hand-made Herf Edition! (I see you have a "stinky" too.) Can you share some specs for us? How big is it? Diameter: Height: Adhesive: Finish Material: (and number of coats. . . looks like a deep finish) And. . . the optional Pedestal/Stand:

It's about a 10" diameter I used 2 x1/4" oak strips glued together and then cut on a 5 degree cut and then glued into a circle. I used tilebond glue and a strap clamp. After sanding it down I rub a little red stain into it and then wiped almost all of it off, just to give it some character. I then applied about 15 coats of spray lacquer to it. The bottom was just a piece of 1/4 inch wood cut into a circle and then I glued all the bands on. After letting it dry completely I applied about 15-20 coats of lacquer, with a light sanding in between. The bottom is nailed onto the body and then I applied a few more coats of lacquer to try to seal up the seem. It was a fun project, I think I would do some thing things differently next time. It's funny I was involved in the iron works industry for many years and it is very different from woodworking. A little welding, banging with a hammer and grinding can make everything look good. In woodworking everything needs to be a lot more exact and you need a lot more patience. Which I have a very limited amount of. Quote:
