Burlwood Palio

I'm looking into getting a Palio cutter for myself and was wondering if anyone has any problems with the finish of the burlwood Palio. I know its a faux finish, but will it wear off, chip, or scratch? I know they fully warranty their products, but I don't want to have to replace it for cosmetic reasons. If I pay the extra money for the burlwood finish I want it to be worth the extra cost over a cheaper model.
