I think I know what you mean about this "grit". I refer to it as chalky. I get it from a variety of cigars.
These are the ones I can think of off the top of my head: Any of the Tatuaje Blacks Tatuaje El Truinfador OR Lancero 601 Blue label The Oliva Cloth labels used to have this same taste when they were fresh.
