That's not what you're doing, though. You're readying your stuff to smoke.

60-75 degrees and 60%-70%RH is all good in my book. I just looked at my winador beside me, it's at 70 degrees, 60%RH. That suits me fine. The big display humi downstairs is at 64 degrees and 66%RH. That also suits me fine.

You'll decide what you like best by how your cigars smoke. If they burn good and taste great at 65%RH and 70 degrees, then you, my good sir, have a winner.


When I first started, I was anal-retentive about keeping it at 70-70 because that's what "they" say. I realized I liked how my cigars were smoking at the 63% area and have kept them at that since.

I think the main thing is that small fluctuations like that can be expected, but if you're getting drastic swings then it would be worth looking into further.
