Question Re: pnoon's what cigar did you smoke today VII?

CLE Corojo Corona Gorda - decider to go with this beauty this gross, snowy slushy Ohio morning. Hey does anyone know if this label is the new or old one for CLE? I could swear I've seen these in a red/white band and it not sure which is the new one? I ask because this specific batch of CLE Corojos were ordered as 5-10 packs and unsure of the date but they taste aged. Freaking spectacular blend btw, one of my favorite corojos to date, hands down.

Btw, I'm definitely rusty on the old "espanol" but doesn't gorda mean fat? From what I can tell, most corona gordas are just longer as opposed to being fatter. So...if my highschool...hrm- escuela espanol is correct, shouldn't it be corona larga? I think which would mean long(er) corona? Just comida for thought...

Corona Gorda is a fat corona. Traditionally, a corona is 5.6x42. CG's are 5.6x46. Back when 50rg was considered huge. Unlike today with all the jawbreakers.

Ah hah! That makes perfect sense now, thanks for that! And yeah that's crazy to think that was what they used to consider fat!!
