It doesn't matter at some places... the store in Longmont, CO got around 50 boxes and I will be lucky to see any... that is the worst store in the state to get rare stuff from... they hoard it all and don't sell much to the public... and when they get Opus, they won't sell any at all to the public... only members... makes ya wanna cringe...

you know I'm all for taking care of members but that is prety low of them to do in this case it's not like these are for sale everywhere and you could just go to another store if you want them. I wouldn't even give them a shot at getting them next year after hearing this if I were pete.

Yeah, that's pretty crappy. Hey Jitzy, the 13 on the list this year are "out of the hat" so to speak. It's a new round of 13 for next year. One of my employees had a great idea for another Monster series stick in honor of Lon Cheney. A lonsdale called the Lon.

Yeah I kind of wish he wouldn't sell to that store... they are so picky about who can smoke there... to be in the nice area you have to be a member the regular area is pretty small and no where near as nice...

In contrast you go to a store just south of there and the nice area is free to all and the owner is cool as hell. So where do I go to support? The cool owner... I haven't ever bought a stick from that guy in Longmont due to his attitude toward outsiders (if you can call any cigar smoker an outsider since I thought we were all brothers).

They should spread the love instead of having 3 retailers in CA. Guess they love those taxes!

That would have been nice, but Pete said that 12 would be drawn at random from the top 100 retailers and he stuck to his word. The 13th was Gloucester Street Cigars in Beantown and they were guaranteed to be on the list because the Monster series was their idea in the first place.

In this case, I just emailed a couple of retailers on the list (a couple of who I have bought from before) and ask if they were taking pre-orders. A few emailed me back and said yes. I was just hoping to get a box and got lucky. Or at least I hope I got lucky.
