Sorry if this is a stupid question-
for the lottery, those who join are expected to send a tin every month, making 12 tins in all, correct?

If you remain in the lottery you could possibly send out 12 tins in a year-if you lose every month. You could also win a time or two and break even or come out ahead. Just like the cigar lottery.
