Had it on the rocks today and it was great.

I had tried it and Aberlour with a little distilled water, should I make my ice cubes from distilled water too?

Spring water would be fine. Mineral water or chlorinated tap water could negatively affect the taste. For fun you could do a bling taste, using different types of water to see if you can tell the difference.
