No clue but I would think for $250 you could get quite some really nice boxes of NC's and some downright great boxes of CC's...

a scorched box bottom on an old box of cigars usually indicates they were lovingly cared for, and are typical of a vintage box of the type. Usually examples like this have a Toasty, Charcoaly, Dead Ashtray flavor, followed by a musty flair in the finish.

I have no knowledge of that marca. I have smoked recently cigars from 1919 and 1923 that were made with Cuban long filler and US wrappers. They smoked incredible. All the people who shared them on the puff pass were well versed in CCs and NCs and all stated that the cigars were quite good.

The price that they are asking is about average for such sticks. As with any cigar purchase from someone with whom you have no trust relationship: caveat emptor. That said, I know several people who do buy old cigars off ebay and such and have found some incredible cigars that way.

I'm no expert, but I don't think the box damage would help with appraisal, as far as being a collectible.

As for whether they're smokeable, I'm on a cell phone, but they look very dry. How well cared for can they be if the box was on fire at one point? ![]() Oh, and according to Google, they were made by a now-defunct NY cigar company. Posted via Mobile Device |

While I was looking up "Cremo Cigars," the internet yielded this fabulous little tidbit:

Closer to the people in the photograph is a sign for Cremo cigars, which fell out of favor by 1929 when the company was accused of using saliva in its Cuban cigar-rolling process — prompting the slogan, "There's no spit in Cremo cigars."
