I gonna have to pick one up and try it after all this talk about the Diesel. It sounds like it will be worth the purchase.

Was looking at these by chance today, mostly because of the attention grabbing name. Sounds like they are worth a try. I figured with that name it was trickery to get buyers.

First I'll say, good review I enjoyed reading it. These Pennsylvania Maduros with a lot of ligero filler seem to be a growing trend. RP has a few of them(Winter, Patel Bros, etc). I by no stretch of the imagination have a refined pallete but I know what I like.
To me these cigars are lacking in complexity and flavor. I agree it starts off spicy but after that it blends together and loses something. I've only found one Penn Maduro that I've enjoyed so far and its exclusive to my local B&M.
That said its a quality smoke it just doesn't have that "something" I look for in a cigar. I wouldn't turn one down but I wouldn't buy any either. JMHO.

That's about the conclusion I have come to as well. I think for my money I can find better quality smokes.

I will say that this is the first cigar I have smoked that smelt exactly like a horse stall pre-light. I even let my wife, who was raised around horses, smell it and she was amazed at how it smelt exactly like a horse stall.

It does have an amazing barnyard smell... Everyone who has smelled them remarks on the same thing!

There is a difference to me in barnyard and horse stall. I lived on a farm for years and worked a larger one during the summer. A well kept barnyard smells of sweet hay and tiny musk. This cigar smelt like a big pile of horse crap after he ate a bunch of sweet feed.

I hate to be the lone nay-sayer here but I've had a couple and they're just okay. I'd try a few before a box purchase.

Did you smoke them right off the truck? or did you let them rest fora few days first? that can make a huge difference...
IMO, cigars are much better if kept at 65% RH, as opposed to 70% RH...

Never fear being a naysayer. If we all had the same tastes, there's be a lot fewer sticks to sample. Everyone seems to love the Brick House, but my reaction to it is like yours to this.

I guess we're together on this one. Let it sit two months @ 65% and I didn't like the taste of it at all! I won't be buying anymore.

Finally tried on out of the box I recently acquired. This was a great cigar! Paired well with some Woodford Reserve Master's Collection!

I smoked my 2nd one today. Perfect burn and really tasty. They sure do pack a punch. The spice tends to mellow a bit toward the middle but never really goes away. For $3 and change, it's a pretty solid smoke.

I am going to try a few next time I put an order in online. They sound like a great stick. Thanks for the review.

I'd already purchased these, with my box on the way, when I came across this review. Quite excited to dig into it, and with 30 at my disposal, I might be tempted to smoke one in my building's mailroom, but let the rest cool off for a bit.

Thanks!

I had one of these last night and I thought the initial review was pretty much spot on even though my was ROTT. I'm going to stash the other 29 sticks for a bit.

I've smoked 3 that I've been bombed with, & really have enjoyed them. Hard to beat at the price. I picked up a 5'er just this morning with a free shipping code, so I snagged them for $20... Which IMO is a steal for this smoke.
