Default Re: 'Deadliest Catch' ship goes up in flames

Any fire is around a marina can be a disaster, I have been near 2 major fires one that took out over 30 vessels at aggressive marina that was caused by a furnace on a building on land and another one at Jefferson beach marina were over 40 boats were lost. marina fires kill people and take away lively hoods and dreams of people. I commend the fire fighters and all those involved for containing this fire to the area that they did. When both these fires happened the story lead the local news and that was because it reality not reality TV. Glad no one had to tell a loved one that they had lost a family member in this case. I was near an accident and watched a Dad say good bye to his wife and 2 young children when a boat hoist strap broke and a vessel fell on him. Marina work and life working on the water are not easy nor is it a easy or safe enviroment to be in on a daily basis.
Thanks for sharing the story
