Thanks.
It is a special edition Cooperstown throwback version I picked up while at the game this year.
Has a very unique weave that makes it very nice.

I don't think I could wear it for fear of getting a stain on it.

You wouldn't want to be near me then.
In the past few weeks, have worn it to restaurants you would think I would need a bed sheet to cover me.
Yesterday, was over my son's house, with his miniature pinschers jumping all over me with their nails. That part did freak me out a bit.
I figure I will enjoy it or when I die, the guy that comes over and takes my place won't be as nice with it.

I have always been a big Mattingly fan.
Before Jeter, he was the Yankees.
Represented them well.
Classy guy.
Spent a weekend with him and his family as guests at the hotel I was at.
We talked quite a bit by the pool. He tossed the ball with his kids and my son.
Bought each other drinks.
Very humble and genuinely nice guy.
When I looked at the available jerseys, I was focused solely on one possibility and that was 23.
Next one will be Jeter's.

Considering how dirty Donnie Baseball got his jerseys, I wouldn't sweat it.

Of course, he did not pay for them.

Amazing how many of us Yankee fans immediately mention Mattingly as someone who you think of a class act.
Such a shame he left and the next year, the Yankees go to the World Series.
We talked about that too.

If he stayed though, then Tino would not have been a Yankee and would they have gone to the playoffs without Tino?

I was in the ballpark opening day 97 to watch him raise the Championship flag. Shame, yes, but not sure given his back that we could have won it with him still on the team.

Just bad timing/luck for a great ballplayer not to have won at least one championship.

I think most of Donnie's problem was his bad back - though, considering the problems he had later on with his wife, it may have partly been the pain in his butt also.

LOL
You are so much ahead of me on the game.
My ATT Uverse is way behind any of my friends when we are watching the same game.
Amazing how that works.
I just saw the HR after you had posted.
