Where to find Ronson Jetlite?

Maybe this is why they are hard to find all of a sudden...

In 2009, Zippo announced plans to purchase Ronson Consumer Products Corporation, a long-time competitor in the lighter market.

On February 3, 2010, the deal was finalized.

March 2011: Due to significant decrease of sales from 18 million lighter a year in the mid-1990s to about 12 million lighters this year related with pressure increasing on folks not to smoke, Zippo Manufacturing Co. will try offering a wider variety of products using Zippo brands such as watches, leisure clothing and cologne. This strategy is similar with a success of Victorinox Swiss Army Brands Inc. has had selling watches, luggage, clothing and fragrance.

I have a feeling Ronson Jetlites being carried in most all 4,500 Wal-Mart stores and selling for under $3 was killing Zippo. So rather than build a better product, they buy out the competition and kill it.

Make that 4497 Wal-Mart stores. I checked three this past weekend and none of them had any and no one had heard of them. I'll keep looking.

Actually, to my and others dismay, Zippo is still manufacturing Ronson Jetlite lighters. If you look on the back it now says to contact them for the lighters 1 year warranty and it has the Zippo address. So no fear boys, the Ronson Jetlite will live on!

The lighter itself? I got it at walmart. They had 4 out at this particular register but I decided only to get 2 and leave the others for someone else haha.

My WalMart was out of them, but I went to Walgreens. They were priced at $8.99. I bit the bullet, yet it scanned for $4.99.

The local walmart had some for $3 so I bought 2. I now need to go get some more though lol. I sent those out with NST and bombs.

I haven't been able to find them at any local stores, so I had to settle for EBay at a slightly higher price then what guys are finding them for at local B&M's.

have you tried checking out a few different wal-marts? the one by me almost always has them. Ive cleaned them out like twice.

None of my local gas stations or Walmarts have them. Big thanks to Wallbright for the NST jetlite!

A lot of the sales people at Walmart don't know what these lighters are... best bet is to head to where the tobacco is sold and look around for yourself. I found them after being repeatedly told they don't carry them.

same, and if you cant find them at your local walmart. they are "always" kept in the rack next to tobacco.

When I have found them at Walmart, they only have them at the one checkout where they sell tobacco. They usually don't have a lot of them, so you have to pick through all the other lighters to find the one peg of Jetlites.
