I just got this. It is a 2 piece ashtray. The ashes drop through the center and then the ashtray separates into 2 pieces. You then dump the bottom half.

I collect blown glass, so was happy to find this. Its Italian, with specks of gold in it. Despite the flowing shape, its quite functional and goes in the dishwasher.
