The only time I don't equate dubstep to aural suicide is while I'm spinning on the stationary at the gym. Even then, I end up switching over to either ear-splitting metalcore or Johnny Cash.
At least Sonny Moore stopped singing. Dude sounded like the love child of a piglet and an overweight 12 year old girl. He's a talented programmer, don't get me wrong, but he has no real vocal. |

I used to LOVE (and still do) speed garage. Back in the day I heard that speed garage kinda morphed into 2 step garage which morphed into dubstep. Is there any truth to this? I've heard very little dubstep, but what I have heard does have some similarities in baselines, even if the baselines also have huge differences and the speed of each genre is very different.

Never thought Id see a dubstep thread here. Im a big fan of Caspa, Nero, Doctor P, Skrillex, Rusko... Almost daily I'll listen to Caspa's Essential Mix from Radio 1. 2 straight hours of awesome.
