Sadly you better start hating most players in the last 10-15 years then.

Its hard for athletes to not want an edge when you are talking about millions of dollars up for grabs, particularly in baseball. They created the situation and now there is nothing they can do to stop the backlash. Sad thing is that it took until 2004 for MLB to catch up with the rest of sports and MLBPA knew the whole time steroids were clearly being used by their athletes and tried to avoid the penalties for as long as possible.

A lot of these players also listen to their private trainers 'friends' a little too much and do not do the research themselves to see what is in some of these products they are taking.

Maybe a few but by and large that's the lame excuse some use....."I didn't know what was in it" The cream and the Clear....Cmon, as an athlete it is your responsibility and decision what does or does not go in or on your body

I'm starting to change my position on steroids. What steroids have really done is make the game more interesting to watch. More strikeouts, more home runs, more hits, better fielding.
IMHO most players are or were at least on HGH. Most being the majority. There are plenty of people who aren't and I'm sure they have mediocre numbers. It was way more interesting to watch a game when the hitter and pitcher were juiced. The drugs really didn't hurt anyone but the individual player and of course the record books which hurt the baseball purists which in turn have held the game back and kept it from evolving to compete with the NFL in terms of popularity. Bring back the roids and make the game watchable again! |

I almost feel sorry for A-roid when he visits other ball parks this year, especially Fenway. Life will be miserable for that piece of scum this season.

There's still 103 other players unnamed. I wonder who on Boston has been roiding?

Do you think the Sox are immune from this? Think Kapler is roid's free? What about Ortiz? Certainly when Conseco was playing several players from Valentin, Vaughn, Everett look like obvious "enhanced" players...

Did you read my previous post where I stated that any Red Sox players who used were also a POS? I am convinced that Kapler and Nomar used and with his behavior, Everett would be a good suspect. It would be nice if people would read a thread before jumping someone's schitt.

Steroids, HGH, clear, cream what have you is a way to achieve that. Yes it does have serious physical side effects but so does working for a living in a steel plant or a coal mine. In the innercities it might be gang related activities that shortens your lifespan, steroids are tame in comparison. The plus side is that you can put up monster numbers, heal faster, jump higher and maybe long enough to make your big payday. |
