http://www.yerbaguru.com/catalog/ Those two sites are what I use. Although with my now limited intake of stimulants I don't order so much. Yerba Guru is kind of a backup, Yerba Mate Tea Gourd normally has a better selection and inventory. |

Re: Tea, Yerba Mate & Cold Weather
I have a gourd and bombilla, a portamate, and a French press. The gourd is nice if you want the traditional consumption. The French press is really smooth and great for introducing your friends to it. The portamate is a great on the go solution and it is very close to the gourd/bombilla flavor profile.

Oh no ****... I haven't ordered from them in a while. Karl was cool and occasionally would smoke a stick. We had some good convos.

Re: Tea, Yerba Mate & Cold Weather
So Matt, care to give a brief overview for those of us that aren't well-educated in the ways of Yerba Mate? I understand it's tea-like.. but to what degree? Do you need the gourd? Can you steep it like regular tea and enjoy it as such?

Re: Tea, Yerba Mate & Cold Weather
Oh yeah - the tea is on every night in the winter at the Moo place. We just finished up a long run of chinese green teas and, right now, we're drinking some very nice black tea (Assam and Golden Monkey) with a little chocolate/chili (very zingy) black tea mixed in.

PG Tips seems to have a lot of fans. What's the appeal? Good and easy?

Still VERY NEW to this, but to tea- Ya damn right ive been drinking it! First because of this Strep/Wahooping Cough scare- then just none stop sinus problems with the -43 weather we have been having. Now its up to the 7 mark, so... Decent Straight chinese greens/ a little oolongs, trying more pu-erh, but with out my Yixing i dont like venturing in that direction |

Re: Tea, Yerba Mate & Cold Weather
I've been drinking the lemon/ginger herbal from Twinings. Tasty stuff, now I just need to find more of it as I'm going through the tea too fast (so far the bag will only do one extract, second one is far too weak). Anybody know of good bulks similar to Twinings?
