I always wanted to see that portrait of the Queen at the Arena in Winnipeg, Matt.

First playoff game for me since 1997....Hawks only made the playoffs once since then, and I didn't catch any games. Before that, I didn't miss a single home playoff game between 1988 and 1996, when they used to make the playoffs every year.

I would grow one but I have a feeling it will come of soon anyway. Looks like business as usual for the Sharks this post season.

I hope they find their heart for game 2. I have never wanted to see the team torn apart, but if they pull another Epic post season failure I think its time. They almost seem to expect to loose in the post season now.

They haven't had the drive since the all-star break. Since then, I don't think they have every looked great. They would have a few good games scattered in between, but would just manage to win a lot of ugly games.

I don't know what management will do if they get bounced in the first round. Who do you keep, and who do you trade off? It isn't the coaches fault, as I never liked Wilson, but McLellan has a much different attitude, and I don't see that as the problem. At the same time, I don't think of the Ducks as a number 8 seed; they didn't win early, and that cost them big time.

Next year, I need to get center ice, as I wasn't able to watch the Hawks-Flames game, and I think that is going to be the best series the first round.

San Jose caught the one team nobody in the West wanted to play in Anahiem. Should be a grinding series but I see the Sharks pulling it out. That said, I still think the Red Wings are the team to beat. But I may be baised!

Assuming the 3 teams in the West who are up 2-0 win their series, this series makes things interesting.

If San Jose wins, the second round would be:

Sharks V. Blackhawks
Red Wings V. Canucks

If Anaheim wins:

Red Wings V. Ducks
Canucks V. Blackhawks

Looks like either way, the Red Wings and the Blackhawks can only meet in the Conference Finals unless one of the 0-2 teams comes back.

The Blues just went down 3-0 in the series today.
The way they played the last few weeks was just amazing. I just don't know what has happened. They just seem flat. I'm got so frustrated tonight, watching them take their sweet time retrieving the puck for an iceing call (with 5 min. left in the 3rd). I just thought they would give Vancouver a run for their money.
Anyway, congrats to all that had a better night then me.

It's pretty pathetic to me, and I don't get it. They went down 0-2 against Dallas, and just couldn't muster it up to beat them. I don't get how they can't see that there 40+ shots are useless if they are right at him. I think he has made around 10 saves that are actually good, the rest have hit him. Test him, and aim high, make him MAKE a save, instead of a stop.

You would think Brian Campbell was still on the Sharks with the poor shot selection!
