IMO, digital is the only way to go. You can't go wrong with Hygro-Set. Easy to calibrate and very dependable.

I have been using one like this in my Vino. It will monitor up to 3 sensors.

The Oregon Scientific remote monitoring model is great!
I have also found that the Western Caliber IIIs are the least problematic and most accurate inexpensive digital hygrometer I've been able to find. (Have 8 in use for years) I hope this helps ~Mark . |
