Default Eclipse

Anyone else in the path of totality? I've seen quite a few partial eclipses but this was our first total. It was spectacular. We were able to see Venus and Jupiter, but unfortunately the comet was too faint.

We were close to the area of totality. It was interesting how dim the light got and the chill in the air.

I am in DFW, so we were in the middle of the line of totality. Here are some photos I took today.

Great photos!!! From where we were (southern part of Indianapolis) we could only see one solar flare. You got quite the show from DFW!

Not just the young ones. My sister is mid-50's and I thought we might have to sedate her, especially when she realized the two "stars" she could see were actually Venus and Jupiter.

We didn't see much of anything...

Then I had the great idea that I would stare directly at the eclipse while at work so I could collect Workers Comp...
