Re: Help my Frigidaire
Yeah I PM'd Shilala earlier.
Fridge wise I've just had thermoelectrics. The current one isn't working all that well in terms of stability (it changes temperatures itself) so it's causing me...

Re: Help my Frigidaire
It's a compressor model. But Shilala has proven it to be readily adaptable to reliable cigar storage. I'm optimistic he chimes in with his wisdon.
Yeah the wines I typically buy have foil or wax...

Re: Help my Frigidaire
A caution to some, this is a compressor model, not a thermoelectric. You can tell most compressor type fridges by the distinctive bottom shelf arrangement needed to accomodate the compressor.

Re: Help my Frigidaire
I would be storing red wines. Nothing fancy, jus the day to day sort of things.

Help my Frigidaire
I pulled the trigger on a 34-bottle Frigidaire wine cooler. Now I need to decide how to make the best use of it. I'm a 1-2 cigar a week type and enjoy trying new things while keeping a few...

Re: modular homes?
Modular doesn't equate to "trailer" in my mind.
I think of modular as the homes where the large panels or cube sections of the house are trucked on site and assembled. Then the exterior is...

Re: Newbie cigar list
Your tastes seem similar to some of mine and some of guys at my B&M, so here's a few:
5 Vegas 'A'
5 Vegas Cask Strength II
Carlos Torano (can't seem to go wrong with any variety)
Excalibur...

Re: Car Audio Help
You could have an impedence issue.
Basically with 4-ohm single voice coil speakers, the amp either sees 2-ohm or 8-ohm on a single channel. If that amp isn't stable at 2-ohm in bridged mode then...

Re: Travel Humi (cigar caddy)
That's why they make different sizes. I couldn't justify the 15ct, 18ct, or 30ct for the one or two times in a year I would use it.

Re: PremiumHumidor.COM Beware!!!!!
Like others I appreciate the 'heads-up'.
I still would have tried to contest the charges even with a debit card. Although it may not get you the same resolution as you would get with a credit...

Re: Vinotemp help
I had a Haier 6-bottle unit that stayed pegged at 64°F or 67°F when it croaked (it was the highest temperature the in-door thermostat would allow).
My apartment was around 72°F. Turning the Haier...

Re: Travel Humi (cigar caddy)
A bit late ... but check Amazon ... you'll have to do a little digging but my 10ct. Cigar Caddy was ~$20 shipped and I think the 15ct. went for ~$22 shipped.

Re: Beginner Questions (Ask Them Here!)
Here's two for the gurus...
Is the basement a good place to keep the humidor? Temperature stays low but is mold now a concern?
If I had a coolador but no basement and the apartment...

Re: Oh no! I found a beetle!
I've run into this issue recently myself. Temperatures were below 70°F and RH was 70% or less. It does happen. Yeah it sucks big time.
Here's the routine I'm using: 24 hours in the fridge, 48...
