I've been hit indirectly and directly multiple times, and I never thought the smell was
that bad...it's just annoying how it lingers. Usually the clothes are done for, and it takes a few days to fully remove the smell, but olfactory fatigue will set in and you won't notice it yourself (other people will though!)
