And this was after trying everything, including the expensive stuff the vet gave us.

I've been hit indirectly and directly multiple times, and I never thought the smell was that bad...it's just annoying how it lingers. Usually the clothes are done for, and it takes a few days to fully remove the smell, but olfactory fatigue will set in and you won't notice it yourself (other people will though!)

I'd just spray paint a white stripe down his back and turn him free into the wild. He'll never know the difference.

It works.
We use lemons and vinegar and dish soap.
I don't think there's a single one-shot way to get rid of the stink.

Lemon, dishwashing soap, lemon and then another wash with dishwashing soap takes it off my hands so I can't smell it any more. At least near my face.
