Just in from the Storm

Sorry in advance for any slips in etiquette, I'm a newbie here.
I became acquainted with CI in June of this year, so I just missed CigarFest 2010. Since then, I've been looking forward to the opportunity to participate in 2011. I'm learning that it's difficult to find much info on this event other than the 2010 reviews that people have posted in various forums. One thing that's becoming apparent to me is that tix for the event are gone in a matter of "minutes". I assume that since I'm a CI customer, I should at least be notified when the 2011 event is announced, but I have no idea how far in advance of actual ticket sales that usually is. Anyone know how much notice is actually given? Can anyone share the details on the difference between regular and VIP tix, including the 2010 price? Any tips on improving my odds of getting tix? Any info will be appreciated. Thanks in advance CMR |

I'm hoping that announcement for CigarFest 2011 will come out this month. Last year was my first one and it was a blast. I believe that 2011 will be around the last weekend in April. Tickets should go on sale in Feb (if it is like last year). Best tips:
1. Get up early with your computer ready to go. Last year the site locked up so here is tip number 2.... 2. Have both your cell phone and line at the ready.....and keep redialing. I took me 45 min to get through and get my VIP ticket ($125). 3. Be persistent and patient.....you'll need both. If you are successful in getting a ticket it will be sent to you about a month before the event. It will also be announced when rooms will be available for reservation at Split Rock.....you have to have a ticket to reserve a room at the resort. There are a couple of hotels about 15 min away from the resort as well. I'll be trying to get mine as well........hope this helps. Good luck!
