I was going to act all hurt here, but then I figured I should do some investigating. According to a couple sites, it was between $.48 & $.62 a gallon in 1978 when I got my license. And minimum wage was $2.65.

When I went to college minimum wage was $3.10 and a gallon of gas was $1.25. And inflation was 13.5%.

I can remember $0.29 a gallon and if you went towards Daytona Beach on 95 you could see the gas wars for $0.19.

That's all right. Blake will be telling his grand kids he remembers working in MickyD's when his happy meal wasn't $15 and it still had a real toy in it.....

LOL I figured you were a tad older than me, and I remember it being $0.85-0.95 while I was in high school, at times. I'm 37 right now.
